How to install in 4 steps
Installing an APK is safe and simple. Follow these steps and you'll be chatting in under two minutes.
Download the APK
Tap the download button below to save the QuikQam APK file to your Android device. It will appear in your Downloads folder.
Allow Unknown Sources
Open your phone's Settings → Security (or Privacy). Find "Install unknown apps" and enable it for your file manager or browser. This is required for APKs not from the Play Store.
Open the APK File
Go to your Downloads folder (Files app or notification shade). Tap the "QuikQam.apk" file to launch the installer.
Tap Install & Launch
Review the permissions request and tap "Install". Once done, tap "Open" to launch QuikQam and start video chatting instantly!
Your security matters
The QuikQam APK distributed from this page is digitally signed and identical to what we will publish on the Play Store. After installing, we recommend turning the "Install unknown apps" permission back off in your Security settings. If your browser warns about downloading an APK, tap Keep or Download anyway — this is a standard browser caution for all APK files.
Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to install APKs outside of the Play Store?
Yes, as long as you download from the official QuikQam website. Our APK is the same app you would get from the Play Store — we are simply distributing it directly while our Play Store listing is being set up.
Which Android version is required?
QuikQam requires Android 8.0 (Oreo) or newer. This covers the vast majority of Android devices in use today.
Do I need to disable unknown sources permanently?
No! Once you finish installing QuikQam, you can go back to Settings → Security and turn "Install unknown apps" back off for better security.
Will I receive automatic updates?
For now, updates need to be installed manually by re-downloading the latest APK from this page. We will publish to the Play Store soon, at which point updates will be automatic.
What permissions does the app need?
QuikQam requires Camera and Microphone access for video calls, and Internet access for matching and chat. All permissions are only used for their stated purpose.
